This truly remarkable CJM school has been providing the highest quality of holistic education to girls and boys for over a 27years. Its long history of Catholic tradition and founding on the values of St Claudine Thevenet since 1818 in France Lyons ensure that every child is seen as special, unique and a gift from God. St Claudine’s life work was to care for, nurture and educate children. She established the Religious of Jesus and Mary houses and schools which has led to the current education of children in 29 different countries. We embarked our journey to India in 1842 and we were warmly welcomed in Ranaghat in the year 1996.

We are therefore uniquely placed and this is what makes our school so special and different to many others. We place as much emphasis on the pastoral care and faith development of the child as we do on academic excellence. Our school, first and foremost, is a family; we are a family of faith. Staff have true pastoral hearts and take time to ensure every child is known, their strengths supported and development needs overcome. Our children are happy and safe in the knowledge that we are watching over them, guiding them and walking alongside them as they make their journey of education.

Classroom learning is supplemented by a wide range of co-curricular opportunities and a diverse programme of educational visits both in around places supporting the girls and boys in their language development and extending their cultural awareness. We have very high expectations of discipline and conduct. Girls and boys are taught the importance of respect and good manners.
